Some people would rather be naked than wear fur;  Lady Gaga would rather be celibate than unsafe.

Gaga, who has been promoting the Mac Viva Glam AIDS foundation with Cindi Lauper already told us that friends don’t let friends be sluts.  At the MAC AIDS benefit in London today the singer told The Press Association that she is choosing to be single right now because she doesn’t have time to get to know someone. No relationship means no nookie which is okay with her.

“It’s OK. Even Lady Gaga can be celibate,” she told the press with a smile.  “If you can’t get to know somebody, you shouldn’t be having sex with them.” she insists. Slut says what?

Well this is interesting. After the Hollywood race to see how young slutty can go, a pop star isn’t selling promiscuity as girl power. The open bisexual also isn’t pretending she’s waiting for marriage. Let’s just hope she gets to know her next man a little better so she can be with someone supportive.
