We have to give Gwen credit for ending up with naming her clothing label LAMB. That wasn’t her first choice as the name for her label. She was originally going to go with the juvenile skewing “hellagood.” Yes, you could all be wearing hellagood clothing. Thanks again to our trademark snoop.

I think HellaGood would’ve been the better choice.
Just to be contradictory, I like L.A.M.B. better. It’s cuter, and I think Hellagood sounds too much like Helluvagood – the chip dip. Don’t really wanna associate clothes with something that makes you fat…lol
I agree Kelsey, LAMB is a much better name IMO. I think a name like HellaGood sounds too much like RoccaWear. I’m a geeky white girl and I would feel ridiculous in RoccaWear…just too cool for a nerd like me, so I think a name like LAMB is more universal and more people would feel comfortable wearing a brand with a name that is not so category specific (lifestyle wise).
every time I hear (or read) the word “hella”, all I can think of is Cartman from South Park, because he was the first person I ever heard use that term.
hellagood, to me, would sound like she was trying a little bit too hard to align herself with brands like RoccaWear and BabyPhat and various other hip-hop inspired fashion.
Hella isn’t really a hip-hop term. It’s a slang term used in Northern California, mainly in the Bay Area.
I think “hellagood” would have been a bad choice.
I like L.A.M.B. better.
FYI: I live on the east coast now, but I have lived ALL over the west and midwest too. I have heard “hellagood” from California (Northern and Southern) to Seattle, Washington, to Spokane, Washington to Salt Lake City, Utah.
A long as I have lived on the east coast, I have never heard it “hellagood” ever said.
The Beastie Boys, who party & snowboard, in Utah have a lyric in one of their songs that goes, “I’m from the east coast, so I don’t say hella.”
I love the west though too!
Gwen said in reference to her song Hella Good, that it was inspired by her visits to Oakland. Gwen being from Southern California was not familiar with the term, “hella”; a term used heavily in that area. Usually when a person uses the term “hella” here in california its a dead give away that they are from the Bay Area.

I think l.a.m.b. Is much better for a brand that’s at nordstroms. Hellagood would be good for macys.
P.s.
I’m from the bay area!
