Conrad looked gorgeous, per usual, and had a very relaxed and pleasant demeanor about her (love does that to you).
Conrad is known for her impeccable style, so I had a few questions for her.
The first one was personal, because my sister and mother currently embroiled in an argument over black tie wedding dress code: Does one have to wear a long dress to such an elegant affair?
“I think you can wear a short dress as long as it’s appropriate,” Conrad told me.
We then clucked about those who deign to match the bride on her big day.
“Never, no matter what the dress code, never outshine the bride. Do not ever wear white, do not wear cream,” Conrad said. ”I see this at almost every wedding I go to, and it boggles my mind to think that people still think it’s OK to wear white to a wedding.”
Let’s be serious. Almost every girl will seize any chance to wear a long dress, even Conrad.
“You only have so many! Take advantage of those handful of opportunities.”
“People did come up to me, really randomly,” Conrad admitted sheepishly, thinking that it might have been because she was a brunette (sort of) at the time. ”I guess I don’t see it as much. It’s the nicest compliment ever.”
