Lauren Conrad’s Clothing Line Retreats To The Hills

March 23rd, 2009 // 1 Comment

Remember that career in fashion that Lauren Conrad was trying so desperately to make happen? Well, it sounds like the girl has finally developed some common sense and has given up on her clothing line. The Lauren Conrad Collection, which launched in the fall of 2007, is on “hiatus” indefinitely.

Page Six reports that showrooms received word that as a result of the “current economic climate, Lauren has decided to rethink her line.” What? No money left for that costly experiment?

It’s been rumored since the launch of her line that sales at Kitson and Bloomingdales were less-than-impressive, Conrad is going back to the drawing board to “revamp her line and design with more high-end fabrics.” That makes sense, especially “in light of this current economic climate.” People will want more expensive clothes designed by inexperienced reality stars. Of course they will.
