Lea Michele is blown away by comparisons to legendary singer Barbra Streisand. The Glee star did a drop-dead amazing rendition of Streisand’s signature song “Don’t Rain On My Parade” at the 2010 Grammys, which really got people talking.
“It’s very flattering,” she said of the comments. “She’s always been my role model. She’s always been proud of who she was, she’s always moved on, kept going.”
Michele added: “I believe in the same principles – never give up, always keep going.”
She’s equally bowled over by all the crazy good press the television show is getting.
“It’s amazing. Every day I go to work, I have to pinch myself,” she said, pictu. “I can’t believe this is really happening to us.” A hit show, hailed the next Babs…hey, not too shabby!
She did Don’t Rain On My Parade at the 2010 Tony Awards.
