The Huffington Post reports that Lebron James paid for his hour long interview with Jim Gray about signing with the Miami Heat out of his own campaign.
The handling of the announcement has drawn
widespread criticism. Seen here joined by an entourage as he exits his luxury South Beach hotel the day
after his announcement to leave Cleveland Cavaliers, many are saying the Lebron had too much control over the entire interview where he announced his choice. Now, CNBC is reporting that Lebron paid for the interview, not ESPN. Gray is a freelance journalist.
“I didn’t take a penny from LeBron or any entity connected to him,” Gray said, calling
the report “100 percent inaccurate, wrong, totally false” and
“irresponsible. . . . I would never take a nickel from somebody I’m
interviewing.”
Even though Gray denies these claims, it is known that Lebron James did choose the venue and location for the interview as well as many of the sponsors.

too bad James is going to Miami. It would have been better if he stayed though.
