Leighton Meester shot scenes for the new season of Gossip Girl in New York City today alongside Roxane Mesquida, a French actress/model who will play her royal fiance’s calculating sister.  Normally I’d veto an ensemble as over-citrused as the one Meester is wearing, but methinks Blair Waldorf can carry such an explosion of color (even with orange pumps).  Alas, this isn’t the first time we’ve spotted Queen B sporting an array of blinding brights.

With a new season comes new faces, and we’re quite jazzed about GG‘s latest addition.  Since Wonder Woman didn’t get off the ground, Elizabeth Hurley moved her chips from NBC to the CW network.  According to People, the Brit will play Diana Payne, “a sexy, smart, self-made media mogul and all-around force to be reckoned with.”   Without even searching for secrets of the upcoming seasons, I can already predict that Chuck Bass will bed Payne.

Meester is currently splitting her time between GG and filming I Hate You, Dad in Boston with Adam Sandler and Andy Samberg.
