Pastel-sweater-loving American Idol contestant Anoop Desai and his muted knitwear has sung his last song on the reality television competition show.

Additionally, judge Simon Cowell grew to hate Lil Rounds and she was ultimately booted as well. Matt Giraud, however, was spared to sing another day. We’ll see for how much longer.

Providing moral support to those contestants who have departed was David Archuleta, who arrived to perform “Touch My Hand.” Life is good for a runner-up.
