Lily Allen Not a Fan of George W.

August 20th, 2007 // 19 Comments

Lily Allen decided to air her grievances against the U.S. President in reference to her recent visa troubles. The British singer had her work visa revoked earlier in the month as a result of an altercation in London in which she reportedly struck a photographer. The fracas, which took place in March, resulted in an arrest for Allen and now, she’s furious with the President Bush and decided to use various expletives to express her feelings toward him while on stage at the V Festival in Stafford, England over the weekend.

“I am so disappointed that I won’t be able to come to the States at this time,” Allen said in a statement. “I want my fans to know that I’ll be back as soon as I possibly can!”

Well, Lily, what can I tell you? I didn’t vote for the guy. Maybe she should try dressing up in a Scooter Libby costume.

Or instead why doesn’t she take it up with Homeland Security directly? Mouthing off on stage about G Bush isn’t going to get her very far.
I’m no fan of George Bush but I think the rule of not entering the States if you’ve been arrested or convicted was in place before he came to power.

No one loathes the Dubya more than I… but Lily Allen not playing a sloppy set at SOB’s or House of Blues is like… Code Periwinkle compared to the global unrest he should be addressing at the present moment. I like her enough, but why do these pop tarts make one album and think they are worthy of Presidential intervention? She didn’t even win a Brit Award.

she is an idiot. Thats what happen when punch people and get arrested, that is just how it works.

Glad to see the sane comments already posted. Blaming this on Bush is not reasonable. Just because the Brits don’t take their laws seriously (how many times has Pete Doherty been arrested for drugs?), doesn’t mean the rest of the world thinks the same way.

dude, when will this girl STOP bitching about everyone else in the world. all i ever read from her is how she hates this girl, or that girl, or else shes doing something dumb while intoxicated.

Bret – so if the Brit’s don’t take their laws seriously , what have you got to say about the Paris Hilton / Nicole Ritchie sentences ?

Ah Yeah — Lily Allen’s stupidity is George W.’s fault. Right. Got it, Lil.

You know, I’m just sick of people trashing our country. Maybe, yes, most of us are disappointed in the President, but I think most of us were raised to respect the OFFICE, if not the man in it. I doubt he was standing at the airport terminal when she came in, with his Veto stamp in his hand…if she keeps running her mouth, maybe she’ll Never get in here. What a loss for us…

Eyes of Green – well said! I agree wholeheartedly.

Tell me, Eyes of Green, why ANYONE should have one ounce of respect for our cocksucker president.
FUCK him and everything he has done to ruin this great country.

Isn’t the ciggy dangler along with her Lindsay’s ex? They’re wearing matching below-the-waist get-ups and everything. Ick.

Mike V. if you knew how to READ you’d see that Eyes of Green said respect THE OFFICE, not necessarily the man. Love how people spout off without even reading…

She’s a useless hag. Thank God we kept her out. She’s an abomination of a human being and a disgusting pig. BLECH!!

    Thank you Jen! :)

    Mike V.

Exercise your right to vote and do something to make the world a better place. Don’t just sit there and flap your angry gums.

Touche!!!!! Don’t forget Linds! Speaking of Linds, isn’t that Sapphic Meth Pipe with feet there the one that helped break Lindsay into rehab three seperate times? Guess she needs to find a new star to get her into the cool drug joints.

Good for Lily! One of the few people with the guts and honesty to say it like it really is!

As I understand it, she was spewing her anti-W. opinions long before they denied her Visa. Maybe that’s why she got denied?…

And everyone knows that Bush and his criminal gang have basically turned the once proud & free USA into a police state.

Lily Allen’s comments about George W Bush, were never made, at the house of blue’s in San Diego, so I have to believe the V festival, comment was a lie. She was not arrested for anything, she was only questioned by the London police because of tabloid reports, after she went to the police station on her own. The rant was about U.S. customs officials and visa issues.
