Lily Allen’s confusing herself with Amy Winehouse. She’s cancelled the rest of her U.S. tour because she’s been hitting the sauce and afraid of giving bad performances. Sober up, bitch!
The “Smile” singer confirmed on her MySpace page that she has canceled the bulk of her upcoming U.S. tour dates in May and June, stating that she has been disappointed with the caliber of her recent live performances.
“I am tired, but more than that I don’t think I have been giving my best performances recently,” Allen wrote. “I have been getting really drunk because I’ve been so nervous about doing bad shows, and I don’t want people spending money on going to see a show that isn’t the best it could be.”

She’s still doing Coachella, and Jay Leno and Ellen Degeneres. And cancelling dates in Boston, Denver, Chicago, Detroit, and Dallas. So basically, she’s sticking with the big money gig and the appearances which will help bring her to a wider audience so she can sell more songs on iTunes. So, she’s drunk AND greedy. Sorry, I’m too drunk to actually come to your town but you can see me entertaining that numbnuts Jay Leno if ya want! And buy my album! I need the cash so I can afford more booze!
I’m just playin’. I know, I need to show some compassion. Especially today. Anyway, hopefully she gets the help she needs. And props to her, because I really like that song she has about her little brother who’s stoned all the time. It’s adorable. The song, not little brothers who are stoned all the time. They tend to eat all the Tostitos.

I say let the girl get some rest…. but mostly, let her make a new album! Then she can come back to the States and rock. I would be tired too.

She was in my town recently…they did ZERO publicity (not even on her own website) and I didn’t hear about it until two days too late. I read in the paper that she got SMASHED on jager shots and talked a lot o’crap about her songs. I’m sorry I missed it.

read her blog – she is fucking bored singing the same songs she has been singing for the past 2 years. shes been flying round the world non stop for 18 months… flys to la to texas to montreal to la to new york to australia to new york to london to paris to new york in like 4 weeks – shes fuckin worn out, bored and misses her boyfriend, her dog and her family.
give her a break – shes only young – UNLIKE YOU!

I would imagine her shows aren’t bad because of the booze she’s sucked in but rather her lack of a strong and effortless voice.

She is actually very good live. I saw her perform in my city just a few weeks ago and her sang way better live than on the CD. She did a few other songs beside her own.
But she did have one drink on stage at the end. Maybe she’s an alcoholic and she wanna get that dealt with.
I like her and Amy Winehouse, I don’t think it should be mutually exclusive.
