Deadline has reported that Lindsay Lohan may portray Elizabeth Taylor in a Lifetime original movie entitled Elizabeth & Richard: A Love Story.

As its title suggests, the film will focus on the highly tempestuous love affair between Taylor and Richard Burton, one of the most publicized romances in movie history.

Larry Thompson is producing the project, while Christopher Monger provides the script. When asked about Lohan’s possible involvement on the TV movie, a representative for the Labor Pains beauty only said, “We’re not commenting on hearsay.”
