Lindsay Lohan is reportedly extending her stay in rehab. The young actress is in the Promises treatment facility and has decided that a month simply isn’t enough at the moment. And if this is true, then Lindsay might be spending her birthday over the Fourth of July holiday at the facility, making the canceled birthday party of hers at Pure in Vegas a foregone conclusion. From Page Six:
A close friend of Lohan said, “She is staying in Promises for longer than a month. We don’t know how much longer because of her work schedule, but she is taking rehab very seriously this time and not messing around.”
If she were on the month-long schedule usually assigned to clients at Promises, then Lindsay would be leaving the facility at the end of this week. Well, shoot. I have to be honest. I’m cynical, obnoxious and generally just ornery when it comes to dealing with these young stars and their “problems,” but maybe Lindsay’s actually for real this time about getting her act together and well, good for her. As long as she remembers to occasionally step out of a limousine awkwardly without wearing any underwear and dances on top of a bar here and then, just to humor me, then I guess it’s OK if she decides to take this “sobriety” thing seriously.

…again with the “close friend” blabbing to the media-makes me wonder if that “close friend” is Dina.
Hey, I sincerely hope that she is taking rehab seriously and comes out with some life skills.

Life skills? Please. The only thing she’ll learn is the actual retail price of a pool table from watching The Price is Right.

Yeah, well anything has got to be better than where she was…I’m sure she learned volumes of useful things from that Ronson creature…even Bob Barker is an improvement over that!

eh, I am beyond caring about this “actress.” Only thing she needs to do is exhile her mother from her life and there goes 50% of her bad influence. Kid’s screwed up.

Hohan is rehabbing because the studios can no longer get insurance for her, thus she can’t work. She has no new roles.

I, for one, feel a bit sorry for Lindsay’s continual bouncing back and forth from rehab to partying. I mean, she’s not doing anything more shocking that I did at her age–and occasionally still do. America has such a boring puritanical streak about drugs and partying. Yes, it’s bad for an addict to overindulge, but I see nothing at all wrong with getting buzzed at a nightclub and doing bumps with your friends in the bathroom. Really. Big freaking deal. (And I’ve noticed that some of the most vocal anti-drug purists seem to overlook their own sad addiction to FOOD! Why is it that fatties are so darned critical of fabulousness in anyone else??)
