For some reason, it seems more like this should be happening to a person on a Monday morning, not on a Tuesday. On the day right after the weekend, a DUI combined with possession of cocaine seems utterly more reasonable than on a Tuesday, when the rest of us have resigned ourselves to the fact that yes, this work week is going to happen and there’s nothing we can do about it. Well, we have some updates for you on the Lindsay Lohan situation. First of all, Lindsay’s dad is saying that he’s at least somewhat to blame for Lindsay’s downfall, which includes a second DUI arrest as of today. He cites his own problems with the law, as well as his failed marriage to Lindsay’s mother, Dina, as causes for Lindsay’s erratic behavior.
“I want to withdraw everything — court wise — sit down with Dina as Lindsay’s parents and figure out how to help her,” Lohan said. “Lindsay can’t do this on her own … when we were together, none of this was happening.”
Perhaps Michael should also take the blame for Lindsay’s reported less-than-cooperative behavior during this morning’s DUI arrest. According to TMZ, she was “a real bitch in the field.”

The source says Lohan, who was stopped at the intersection of Pico and Main in Santa Monica, was “uncooperative and showed obvious signs of intoxication.”
But what about Lindsay’s special bracelet, that’s was supposed to monitor her alcohol intake in order to prevent an incident like this? Well, now we’re hearing that it might actually be a fake.
TMZ contacted a rep from the company that monitors the SCRAM bracelet who said, “I didn’t even know she was arrested.”
In addition, the redheaded starlet was scheduled to do “The Tonight Show” with Jay Leno today, which most likely is no longer happening. Also, in the hubbub of all of this, some enterprising individual had the foresight to purchase lohanbusted.com and lohaninjail.com back in May, betting on the odds that the young actress would be screwing up again. Someone else who seemed to have known that Lindsay had no intention of maintaining her sobriety is her assistant, who quit just hours before Lindsay’s arrest.

While I understand Michael Lohan’s desire to protect his daughter, he would be doing her no favors by taking the blame for her! She’s wanted to be a big girl for a looooong time now; she needs to suffer the consequences of her choice to use.

I would love fpr her to go on Leno tonight .. I would like to hear the reasons she has for her insane behavior. Has anyone heard who were the 2 people in the car with her ? Maybe DJ Chick … Wasn’t she blamed for the coke last time ?

‘Lindsay can’t do this on her own … ‘ . Well, she’s been doing it without Da’s support for a long time now. Wasn’t Da in jail himself?
This is a case of closing the barn door after the horse has bolted. A bit to late for regrets.
I feel bad for her. She’s about the best of that Paris lot. She hasn’t had it easy with Coked Up Dad and Showbiz Mom.

She’s going to kill herself or some poor innocent person. Why not hire a limo, or have a friend drive you *coughsuspendedlicensecough* if you insist on being a raging alky.

She is to blame for her own mess. She’s not 12 and she’s capable of making bad decisions…which she clearly excels at these days. Lots of us had less-than-perfect childhoods and are still able to function in the real world. She’s a spoiled brat who is out of control. Period. End of story.
