A $50,000 warrant has been issued by the Beverly Hills Police Dept. for the arrest of Lindsay Lohan, related to her arrest in May 2007 for hit-and-run and DUI for which she spent a whopping 84 minutes in jail last year.

A statement was issued by the dept. last night, which said: “The circumstances leading to the issuance of the warrant by the court are not readily available at this time. It is our hope that Miss Lohan will surrender herself so that this matter will be resolved in a timely manner.”

I, however, hope that she does not surrender herself in a timely manner because I haven’t seen a good slow car chase in quite some time.
