Lindsay Lohan has found a new lawyer in the nick of time who seems to buy her sorry line of BS or is at least willing to put up with it. After this smart cookie quit the gig from hell, a number of names were tossed around but finally one came to the rescue. 

Her lawyer Robert Shapiro is in fact perfectly suited for the case: his son sadly died of a drug overdose in 2005 and Shapiro created a foundation that helps people with alcohol and drug addiction in his son’s name- The Brent Shapiro
Foundation. Shapiro plans not to appeal Lindsay’s sentencing but to have the jail-time shortened or eliminated entirely in lieu of a personalized plan for Lindsay at his foundation’s live-in rehab facility.

Let’s hope he can clean up this mess fast: Lindsay (heading into a studio for an interview in Culver City, CA on July 12) is supposed to surrender on Tuesday. That is, if she shows up…!
