Lindsay Lohan recently dressed as a mid-80s Madonna for some Glamour magazine pictorial about American Icons. While her “work” was just breathtaking — nobody wears a bustier, gloves and holds a prop microphone quite like you Linds! — the image didn’t make the cover and this made our little Lohan M-A-D.

“(Lohan) did this big Madonna-themed photo shoot and she was totally
under the impression it would be the cover,” says the source for Scoop. “Her
Marilyn Monroe shoot for New York Magazine seemed to make her relevant
when she did it, she thought the same would happen this time. Only she
wasn’t on the cover, Katie [Holmes] was, and she’s mad at her now.”

Ah, leave poor, nutrition-deprived, turkey baster baby-maker Katie alone. She’s suffered enough. Shame on you for trying to steal her one cold sore free moment in the sun.

No worries, Linds. Perhaps once you catapult to entrepreneur awesomeness with your leggings, diamonds and self-tanner lines than you can regain some of that phantom topless relevance of yesteryear.
