Lindsay Lohan is going to jail and her surrender date is July 20. She’s been sentenced to a 90-day stint in jail and will then have to go through a 90-day in-patient rehab program.
“It’s like someone who cheats but doesn’t think it’s cheating if they don’t get caught,” Revel said.
Before sentencing, a tearful Lohan addressed the court, saying “as far as I knew I was in compliance with my programs.”
“I wasn’t trying to get special treatment,” the actress said. “I
have to provide for myself. I have to work. Having said that, I did
everything to balance my jobs and showing up. I’m not taking this as a
joke. It’s my life. It’s my career…I take responsibility for my
actions. I’ve tried to do the best I can. It’s been such a long haul, I
don’t want you to think that I don’t respect you.”

About time! Finally a judge that doesn’t pander to the “fame” game. Hopefully this helps Lindsay shape up!

Boo hoo. If she was a non famous person she’d have been in jail long ago. She knew exactly what she was doing, she just believed she was above the law and that no one could touch her. How many items does she need to steal, DUIs does she need to get, drug arrests, non compliance arrests, parole violations…before she’s actually doing something wrong in her world? If they actually make her DO three months then three in rehab it’ll be fair. I bet she’s out in a few short days like Paris.

She gets what she deserves in this. I watched the whole thing unfurl on another site, and time and again her lawyer made excuses for her. The judge in the case CLEARLY stated in December that she had to comply verbatim.. not as she liked.. and the biggest thing she HAD to do was to go to the Right On program once a week, no ifs, ands or buts. She supposedly “had to work” and that is why she missed 7 weeks of the program. Excuse me.. I come to this and other sites daily, and in that time, how many complete weeks has she spent since December actually WORKING? I know of many actors who have multiple commitments and always show where they NEED to be WHEN they are supposed to be there.
I’m in total agreement with sleejay.. she should do all 90 of her days in jail (her lawyer tried to bring up the 96 hours she did for the first offense… but didn’t she only serve something like 18 minutes for that?). I only HOPE that the judge orders her after to a REAL 90 in-patient drug and alcohol program and not a Hollywood excuse for one after her jail time is served.. IN FULL!
I agree with all of you completely. Her crocodile tears were worthless and yes, what the hell has she been working on because as an actress or business woman, she would have had some kind of evidence of what she’s done that is ‘work.’ She’s done nothing but just go out and get into trouble.
no offesse but she wasn’t doing anything that many people have done on this planet now she is placed behind bars.does she deserve it yes but everyone makes mistakes on this earth and she now is paying the price.so there is no reason why people should be acting like jerks with mean comments i think she already knows what she did is wrong.dont need help hearing it from you.like my mother used to tell me that made sense if you dont have anything good to say then why even bother saying it.well then im not a jerk either
