Those leaked audiotaped recordings of phone calls made between Michael Lohan and his daughter, Lindsay Lohan–as well as calls made to his ex-wife, Dina Lohan, and Lindsay’s assistant, Jenni Muro, have caused quite a stir.

And now, it looks as if it’s a possibility that the Lohan patriarch could face time behind bars as a result. TMZ explains that a protective order Dina obtained in 2005 in Nassau County, New York, barred Michael from all communication with the family, including phone calls and email.

The order lasts until 2011 and if the tapes were indeed made in 2008, as has been indicated, Michael could face jail time. Dina’s legal team has been in contact with the Nassau County District Attorney regarding the incident.

Meanwhile, the whole situation is clearly taking its toll on Lindsay as she appears distracted and disheveled on the red carpet for this event hosted by Kitson in West Hollywood.
