Lisa Vanderpump stopped by Extra at The Grove yesterday (November 15th) to promote her new dining guide, Simply Divine: A Guide To Easy, Elegant, And Affordable Entertaining.  LVP was not without her yappy little Pomeranian, Giggy, who was also decked out in purple.

Parade Magazine interviewed LVP about having her personal life put on display (DO NOT start singing Melissa Gorga’s beat).  “I don’t really care what others think of me,” Vanderpump said.  “You’re not going to please everybody. I care what I think and what my children and my husband thinks. If I’m OK with them, I’m OK with myself. It’s a very good barometer. I just try to be honest.”

On telling it like it is: “Sometimes people don’t want to hear the truth. I’ve had issues with Taylor, like ‘Sorry, Taylor, you’re too thin. You’re not eating.’ It doesn’t matter what way you cut it, does she like it? No, but that’s what we are encouraged to do, to be honest. We’re not going to sit there and say nothing on the show, we’re encouraged to speak our mind and sometimes people don’t like it.”

On the dark cloud over this season of The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills: “I’ve found this season a little bit more difficult, obviously in terms of the tragedy that started off the season with Russell’s suicide. I felt a bit under attack this season with people saying this and saying that, but I think if you stay true to yourself, people will make up their own minds. You just have to keep plowing ahead. You can film me 24 hours a day and you’ll get a very accurate picture of who I am. You see the funny side, I work hard, and I try to be honest and just call it how it is.”

Who’s the best entertainer out of all her cast mates? “They’re all different. Kyle is the only one I see that cooks; a lot of people have chefs. Kyle is probably the one who is the most down to earth. Taylor had a chef, Adrienne certainly does, Camille does, and Kim doesn’t entertain, so I suppose Kyle is nearest to what I identify with.”

Speaking of Kim Richards, it seems that Kyle’s gut instinct was right about her beau, Ken Blumenfeld, 48 who was arrested for a DUI in 2009.  A source told Daily Mail that Blumenfeld is a “nightmare,” and has started some pretty big fights with the former child star at their Westlake home.  “Kim thinks she’s in love with someone who cares about her, but Ken is a controlling nightmare and he’s not right for her.  The family doesn’t like him, he’s controlling and Kim shouldn’t be living at his house.

“Kim went through a lot last year with her drinking problem and the pressure from the show and her relationships only trigger Kim’s addiction.”
