Lisa Bonet On Her Triumphant Return To Television

November 6th, 2008 // 3 Comments

Lisa Bonet has returned to network TV since…well since she went back to the Cosby Show to raise Raven Symone.  She’s on ABC’s time-traveling cop show, Life on Mars. Lisa spoke to People about trying television again (she’s been in a movie here and there and raised a few kids) and sounds like she could barely be motivated to put her baby (and her bong) down. She’s big into her privacy.

“To have my face reinstated in minds and homes once a week was an intense decision,” Bonet says.

“It feels like you’re being stalked,” she says. “As a shy person, that
type of attention coming at me violates something. I don’t like that
it’s expected to come with the territory.”

Lisa is currently pregnant with her second child by her current boyfriend. She has a daughter, Zoe, with ex-husband Lenny Kravitz. And what was it about a cop show that beckoned her to stop selling incense in the subway? Come on, she seems like the type to sell incense in the subway.

“You know, I guess it all has to do with the stars lining up and it being the right time and the right project.’

That crappy dred hair looked interesting on her 20-years ago. Now it’s just sad…

This is not her return to television since the Cosby Show. She was on the short lived Dennis Leary cop “comedy” The Job in 2001. It was basically Rescue Me, but with cops instead of firefighters.

What is sad is that (Diana) is you getting up early in the morning surfing the web to hate on other people. Go and get a job and worry about your own hair.
