I had a friend who lived in NYC for a while and one of my favorite stories from her is when she was shopping with a friend in the dead of summer and they ducked into a shop for the A/C. Well, lo and behold Liza Minnelli popped in to do the same thing and was – get this – loud and flamboyant and sweating profusely. Shocking, right?

Anyway, today Liza’s image adorns the new Gray Line New York bus that will take visitors to all must-see stops in the city.

“Welcome to New York, New York,” Liza Minnelli said at the dedication. “If you made it here, you can make it anywhere. My beloved city welcomes you and yours. Get ready, here we go!”

The ceremonial ride on Tuesday morning with Liza Minnelli started in Times Square and I’ll say this…anything with Liza is always a spectacle!
