Just because Cynthia Nixon’s girlfriend may appear to have stereotypically masculine traits does not mean that she doesn’t identify as a woman, or that if she does identify in this way that she is any less of a woman. Gender expression and sexual identity are two separate issues and we shouldn’t assume anything about either Cynthia Nixon or her partner. People look for different things and different personality and physical traits in the people that they date and love. Love doesn’t possess a gender, sexual orientation, or physical beauty.
