Rumer Willis straightened her weave, tried to rein in her beauty, and made her way down to the Women In Film 2008 Crystal Lucy + Awards gala. That’s a friggin’ long title, I’m going to lie. Other notables included Cameron Diaz dressed like Little Red Ride-me Hood, Jada Pinkett-Smith downplaying the butch, and Salma Hayek dressed like the equestrian dominatrix of my dreams.
The event was held at the Beverly Hilton, hosted by comedienne Aisha Tyler, and celebrates well, chicks in film. I think this year is a banner year for that. I just watched Savage Grace, in which Julianne Moore bangs her son. If that’s not strident feminism, I don’t know what is.

I wish Annette Bening would speak to Meg about the merits of aging naturally. Annette looks good! Meg does look a little better-I think maybe she dialed down the lip filler a bit.
