Lydia Hearst is all set to play the role of Amelia on the hit CW show ‘Gossip Girl,’ which seems to be quite fitting since she is a honest-to-goodness socialite in real life.

Lydia is the daughter of Patricia Hearst, and heir to the Hearst family fortune. It might seem a little too easy to write her off — but she’s actually a pretty good writer herself.

She is due to appear on the series starting May 19, and by looking at that promo shot I think it is safe to think she might have a little romantic involvement with Chuck.

I bet Amelia is going to give the other gossip girls a run for their money. Her fashion is fierce! Look at those shoes!
