At the MTV Video Music Awards, Madonna delivered an emotional speech in which she admitted to the audience, her regret in “abandoning” Michael Jackson before his untimely death.

And apparently, Madge was so touched by Janet Jackson’s performance of her and Michael’s duet, Scream, that she reached out to Jackson’s younger sister.

A source tells OK! magazine, “They started talking about how great it would be to honour him by doing something together…There was definitely something very interesting being planned between them.”

Aww, it looks like the ladies have managed to bury the diamond-studded hatchet.
