During the uproar when Madonna adopted David Banda from Malawi, Madge was also planning to adopt a little girl named Mercy from the poverty-stricken country. But now, after finalizing David’s adoption two years later, stubborn ol’ Madge has decided to give up on bringing Marcy into her home, and to support the child financially from Britain.

Madonna blames her surrender of the child to being “exhausted” by all the red tape, according to a family friend.

The source also noted, “Everyone was stunned. Normally nothing will stop her,” adding, “Instead she will support orphans through her charity.”

Seems Gucci-gate is now supporting Madonna’s children cast-offs, but better it help one orphan than just Kabbalah alone.
