Who realized that Spanish actress, Penelope Cruz, was such good buddies with international pop star, Madonna? The twosome looked chummy as they hugged for the cameras at a special dinner party for both Penelope and director, Pedro Almodovar, to celebrate the premiere of their film, Broken Embraces.

The soiree was attended by Penelope’s close friend, Salma Hayek, and her billionaire husband, Francois Henri Pinault. Paper magazine threw the event in New York magazine. Yup, everybody was rubbing elbows with one another, including Hollywood legend, Lauren Bacall.
