Traveling to an impoverished village in Malawi is no excuse for showing up like a slouch. Madonna is in town to pick up a new baby, since you apparently can’t just buy them online as I had previously thought.
The international pop star arrived in her Gulfstream V on Sunday and pictures from her first day in Malawi showed the singer dressed in a black velour tracksuit from Chanel and white fedora, an ensemble that cost no less than $2,800. Way to show those poor people what Mercy James can look forward to. To be fair, though, there are a lot more items in her closet that could have been way more offensive.
Here, the pop star is continuing her visit in Malawi by stopping by the Raising Malawi Kabbalah School in the Namitete District Lilongwe, Malawi. She’s still waiting on the results for her adoption application and on a total side note, her son David Banda is getting as big as he is cute.
