Pop star Madonna will not be allowed to adopt a second child from Malawi, a 4-year-old girl named Mercy James, the African country’s High Court ruled on Friday.
The ruling will please campaigners who say authorities have given the singer special treatment. Malawi’s government, which came under fire after Madonna adopted a 13-month-old Malawian boy, had said on Thursday it would support a second adoption.
Court registrar Ken Manda told reporters Madonna’s bid to adopt Mercy had been rejected because the star was not a resident of Malawi.
The judge cited requirements that adoptive parents reside in the country for 18 to 24 months.
Look for Madonna to seek revenge on the world shortly.

Regardless of what you think of Madonna I think this is sad. She could have contributed financially to the community and given the child a good home. Shame on the media.
Good — she cannot just go to some “poor” country & “save” a baby like its a shopping trip.
Vadge can STILL contribute to the community if she is SO damn charitable.
THE LAW STATES THAT YOU HAVE TO LIVE
IN MALAWI FOR 18 TO 24 MONTHS.. SO
MADONNA GO AHEAD AND DO IT…
LIKE TO SEE HOW LONG THAT LASTS…
SHE NEVER SHOULD OF SIDE STEP THE RULES AND BRING DAVID BACK SO FAST.
Madonna’s $$ would definitely be put to good use through another adoption but when is enough enough? There are parents all over the world who can’t have children and want to adopt. It seems like celebs are adding to their collection of children like they were a trendy accessory..it’s a shame.
Yea…well it would be good for the kid to have a home with Madonna.but she shouldnt be able to bypass laws becuz of her wealth and fame.
I’m a fan of her art,but seriously she’s very rude and mean flyin to this african nation and expectin to get a baby in a blink.keep urself busy wit ur brazilian sluts.
Madonna is an old slut that has been making a mockery of the Holly Mother for years. She’ll end up sick, alone and nasty looking in a few even older years.
