Not just any man….Yves Saint Laurent collapsed in the streets of Paris. His collection had just finished strutting down the runway of Paris’ Fashion Week. Katie Holmes and Victoria Beckham were sitting in the front rows of his audience just a few hours prior to his collapse. Yves, 70 years old, fell into the street of Avenue Montaigne near Champs Elysee. He was giving aid on street lying behind his Mercedes then rushed away. The cause? It could be a number of things. He was know for depression, drinking, drugs and numerous glamorous girlfriends.
YSL started its roots with Christian Dior before branching into its own label. Catering to the beatnik look, he was then called into the French army only to be admitted into the mental hospital just 20 days later after a nervous break down. Since then the brand has carried on thanks to YSL’s parent company Gucci.
