On one fateful day this past July, Mariah Carey suffered a fall that led to a cracked rib and dislocated shoulder. And since that day, the iconic singer has not stopped talking about it.
“I feel like I have suffered the toughest experience of my life about several things,” she told E! News. “One was having twins…But yeah, breaking my rib was not festive. Dislocating my shoulder was not a good thing, either.”
“They had to like push it – push it real good,” she joked. “They had to put me under, it was not easy.”
Since her fall, which occurred on the set of her “#Beautiful” music video, Carey has taken to Twitter to post photos of herself rocking some bedazzled slings - if anyone can make a dislocated shoulder look fabulous, it’s Mimi.
During the interview, the five-time Grammy Award winner also discussed her new album, The Art of Letting Go. Although the album’s release date has not been revealed, Carey shared that its title track will be released via Facebook on November 11. Fans, haters and injury sympathizers alike will also be able to hear from Carey in a Q&A session on the site.
So, what do you think? Is Mimi taking her injury in stride, or being a tad dramatic? Let us know in the comments!
