Mariah’s like “am I being paid for this situation?” Cindy Adams is like “I don’t know why this bitch in the ugly sweater won’t talk to me”. I am unsure as to what is going on in this one, because the press release was kinda long and convoluted much like everything in our government and legal system. It sounds like a cover-up to me. Kidding. Anyway, some celebs got together to publicize the release of some postage stamp that highlights the importance of jury duty. The Jury Duty stamp was issued in Manhattan today, to highlight Juror Appreciation Day. Mariah Carey was on hand, among other “celebrities”. All lambs report for jury duty!

With this stamp, the U.S. Postal Service calls attention to the
importance of jury service, an essential obligation, shared by all eligible
citizens, that is a cornerstone of democracy in the United States.

Joining Gibbons and Judge Kaye were Robert J. Grey, Jr., Past
President, American Bar Association; Sade Baderinwa, Co-anchor Eyewitness
News, WABC-TV, New York, who emceed the event; celebrity jurors Cindy
Adams, New York Post Columnist; Mariah Carey, singer/actress; Bernadette
Peters, actress/singer; Paulina Porizkova, supermodel/actress; and, Richard
Thomas, actor.

This is a dry ass story. Seriously, it’s like the Mojave. Not an oasis in sight. Not even Mariah Carey’s specialness could make this story moist. Jury duty is extremely important, because it could be your one chance at legally killing a person. Seriously though, once you get done waiting for an entire day to possibly get picked, it can be interesting. If you get a good case, it can be hotter than “General Hospital”.
