Mark Salling Debuts His ‘Illusions’ Videos

Mark Salling has debuted two videos for his song “Illusions” off his brand new solo album. One that is basically the ‘normal’ version and one that is nearly like a Magic Eye poster from back in the early 90s.

I’m not too impressed with this song or his voice, but let’s give him a chance to describe his album’s sound. He told E!, “I tried to keep the melodies more pop, and relatable; the chord changes are a little jazzier; and the whole feel of it is a little bit rock. So it’s like jazzy-rock-pop with a little bit of country; [the country element is] because I play a Telecaster, which is a guitar by Fender that’s associated with a traditional country sound. It’s got that twangy spank.”

Nevermind, I thought that would be convincing. It wasn’t. Apparently the album is comprised of selections of more than 50 tracks he’s written and recorded over the last 10 years. Let’s just hope he sticks to Glee, okay?

Watch the video after the jump!
