Mark Wahlberg has become one of the busiest actors in the business, and now he’s going to be even busier. The actor has come on board to star in Reykjavik -Rotterdam, a remake of an Icelandic thriller submitted by that country as its official selection for this year’s foreign language Oscar.

Reykjavik centers on a security guard and former alcohol smuggler on the Iceland-Netherlands route who is tempted back into illicit business by a dubious friend after the security guard encounters financial problems.

Mark is currently shooting Other Guys with Will Ferrell (shown in these photos), and has two film in the can – Peter Jackson‘s supernatural drama The Lovely Bones and the Shawn Levy romantic comedy Date Night.
