Multi-media mogul twins Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen have taken the empire they built as tiny tots and have proven to be wildly successful fashion designers.
The 23-year-olds have found much success among 35 to 60-year-old women, whom New York Magazine claims are the ones buying most of the Olsen twins’ wares. Their clothing line, The Row, is carried by both Barneys and Bergdorf Goodman and sales are expected to increase 30 percent this year.
What recession? Apparently, little black dresses and leather leggings designed by the style-conscious twosome are able to keep their prices at a premium, while everyone else seems to be discounting like crazy. Lauren Conrad wants to be like them when she grows up.
