I’m really keeping my fingers crossed that Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen have decided that fashion is not their true calling, and maybe it’s writing. The twins have an upcoming book that they wrote themselves titled Influence.

The concept of the book is that the twins wrote something brief about each other, but then interviewed 20 people each to write essays about. Some of those included are Karl Lagerfeld, Diane Von Furstenburg, John Galliano, Christian Louboutin and Lauren Hutton.

“We interviewed the people who have inspired us, with the hope that they will inspire and teach others. We want to explain culturally how ideas evolve.”

At first I thought it sounded like tough (just the ideas evolving part), until I realized that’s how I spent a majority of my college education. Of course I wasn’t talking to anyone as cool as SATC-hater Lauren Hutton, but at least it earned me a few nights like this.
