The Bourne Identity star is doting on his three week old baby girl Gia Zavala, who daddy Matt Damon says is already smiling.

But the proud papa is quick to admit it might have more to do with bodily functions than emotion. “She smiles normally when she goes to the bathroom.” Aww, so do I–and it’s just as adorable.

But here’s Matt pulling himself away from his little one to host the OneXOne Gala in Toronto in the midst of the Toronto Film Festival, which will be his third time hosting the event, which raises money to provide aid to children in need worldwide.

Being a father definitely has made the actor more sensitive to the needs of kids, “There definitely is a shift there that makes you, I think, a little more obsessed about helping children.”
