UPDATE: OK! Magazine is reporting that Matthew and Camilla have named the baby boy Levi Alves McConaughey.

Explaining how they came up with the name for their baby boy, Matthew tells OK!, “Levi was another name for the apostle Matthew in The Bible. They were, in fact, two names for the same person.

“Our son was born at 6:22 pm, and this particular time represents my favorite verse in the book of Matthew in The Bible: ‘If thy eye be single, thy whole body will be full of light.’”

There ya have it. At least they didn’t name the baby after the jeans company.

Congrats to the happy couple. According to People:

Matthew McConaughey and girlfriend of two years Camila Alves have welcomed a son Monday night, his rep Alan Nierob confirmed. The baby – the first child for both – was born at 6:22 p.m. in Los Angeles, weighing in at 7 lbs., 4 oz.

“They’re so happy!” said a close pal.

The birth went extremely smooth due to the fact that the little tyke flew out of the womb on a miniature surfboard. Luckily, the tiny set of bongos the baby was playing did not get tangled in the umbilical cord.
