The nature-loving Fool’s Gold actor took to his MySpace blog to share with his fans about his recent travels. Matthew McConaughey blogged about taking a road trip across the country, breaking down in the desert, and his trip to Brazil to meet with his girlfriend Camila Alves‘ family and celebrating his 39th birthday at the Grand Canyon.

Matt also mentioned that he was in predominately “red” states during his road trip and that he happened to chat with some John McCain voters when the election took place and said, “those same people were genuinely excited and hopeful about Barack Obama being elected.”

All in all, he seems like a goofy, albeit down-to-earth guy and peppered his post with his favorite catch phrase “j.k.” which stands for “just keep.” Although, it makes his post much more ridiculous if you pretend it’s “just kidding.”
