As if you needed proof that today is a slow news day, Us reports that former Bachelor contestant Melissa Rycroft married her not-a-reality-show-contestant beau, Tye Strickland, on Saturday in Mexico.

The ceremony was at sunset on a small island ironically named Isla Mujeres, which wrapped up with an instrumental version of the Monday Night Football song.  Ah, romance!  Texas is for lovers!

Rycroft hitched her wagon to Strickland, an insurance agent, shortly after getting the ‘el shaft-o’ (wee! Spanish is fun!) by the Bachelor’s Jason Mesnick almost a year ago.

Not a bad consolation prize, Melissa!
