All signs point to yes. Famed choreographer and long-time judge for the reality television competition series, So You Think You Can Dance, Mia Michaels appears to be leaving after five years on the show.
Michaels left a foreboding series of posts on her Twitter page, saying, “I AM OFFICIALLY AN ADORING FAN OF SYTYCD….THANK U FOR 5 WONDERFUL YRS…TO CREATE MOMENTS AND MOVEMENT FOR THE WORLD TO SHARE WITH ME WAS A GIFT…THANKS SYTYCD AND LOOK FORWARD TO WHATS AHEAD FOR ME…LOOKOUT WORLD!!!!!”
Perusing her interview with the L.A. Times, it’s clear that Mia left nonplussed after completing the 5th season of the series. “I have mixed feelings. It was definitely not my favorite year. I didn’t do as much choreography as I usually do, and I wasn’t completely inspired,” Mia confesses. So you think you can just leave, Mia? Word play!
UPDATE: Usmagazine.com has confirmed that she has officially quit the show.

Good. She is a total bitch and she’s not even close to being the best choreographer they have, so I will not miss her.

Oomgawa, you are clearly an idiot. The quality in her that you mistake for bitchiness is simply her demanding the best, and that’s what makes her, or any artist the best. And that’s what she is, simply the best choreographer in the world today, melding fine art and dance in glorious moovement.

i have mixed feelings about mia leaving. clearly she was an amazing choreographer but i was not happy about how she was so against brandon last year who as she ate her words ended up being in the top four. but at the auditions she was totally rude & mean to him… i will miss some of her dances but her critiques will not be misssed… i am sure
