Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps spit from his longtime girlfriend former Miss California Nicole Johnson recently, so that may explain the odd facial hair he’s sporting. He was seen relaxing in South beach this week with a striking resemblance to wrestler Hulk Hogan!
Phelps broke up with his girlfriend just before the New Year and has been telling friends that he’s single, so maybe this new moustache represents his newfound freedom. It’s not the first time he grows a stache like this however, he even did a couple of years ago.
Whether or not this new facial hair is a phase for Phelps, he has already started training for the Summer 2012 Olympics, so maybe he’ll shave that ugly thing off!

Pretty sure that’s in honor of Joe Flacco and the Ravens. Phelps is a Ravens Fan. Just sayin.
