Michael Jackson’s Stuff Is No Longer For Sale

April 15th, 2009 // 1 Comment

Although the extensive exhibit containing Michael Jackson‘s possessions originally intended for sale will continue to show, the King of Pop no longer plans to auction off the items. According to auctioneer Darren Julien, the sale planned to take place from April 22-25 has been nixed after Jackson filed a lawsuit for the return certain pieces from the exhibit.

Prior to the cancellation, the auction planned would have been the largest ever planned of memorabilia from the international pop icon.

In a settlement made Tuesday, Jackson agreed to pay to have hundreds of items removed from the auction and according to Julien, “We wanted to reach an agreement (with Jackson) and we have reached one today that is mutually acceptable and beneficial.”

I bet it was the stuffed chimpanzee and Elizabeth Taylor’s girdle he couldn’t stand to part with.
