Thundercats roar! The penultimate cougar, Raquel Welch, was at the Michael Kors show at Fashion Week along with a few others. Sigourney Weaver looks a little spooked and like she’s still playing the role of first lady from “Dave” in this sensible-looking ensemble, but I still love her cause she can kick alien ass. Natasha Richardson is practically calling out her own cougar status with that animal-print trench she’s wearing and that interesting facial expression. Future cougar, Eva Longoria, looks like she might getting some practice by rocking one of Raquel’s wigs. Don’t snort. They’re expensive.

The word “penultimate” means “second to last”. It’s not the word you wanted.

I don’t think you did and you’re welcome.
When in doubt, use the word you’re confident about the meaning of. In this case, that word would be “ultimate” (as in last…God only knows how it has come to mean first).
