I’m not going to be stank about this one, because it’s pretty touching and I’m not a complete monster. A large memorial service was held for Heath Ledger in his hometown of Perth, Australia yesterday. A wake and reception was held at Indiana Tea House on Cottesloe Beach afterwards, which was one of Heath’s favorite spots. Many mourners, including Heath’s ex-fiance Michelle Williams, went down to the beach at sunset and ran into the water in tribute to him. Wow.
The mourners were around 50 in number, and also included his sister Kate. As everyone walked out the water, the sun was setting and they all linked hands to watch it go down. Jesus, who would have thought I would get choked up by all this hippie stuff? A mourner standing behind Michelle was heard to remark “The sun goes down on our love. But it will never go down on Heathy.” Wow.

I’m sorry, it is very sad and touching… But am I the only one baffled by Michelle Williams appearance? It’s like she’s trying to look unattractive. Hated the haircut when she got it-still hate it. She looks like a boy. A very pasty, pale, homely boy.
I know after you have kids you have a lot less time for how you look, I have 2 babies- but I wouldn’t cut all my hair off and stop wearing makeup right after having the first one.

The blonde is model Gemma Ward, she and heath were very close and spent Christmas together in Perth wih both their families.

I am touched by this too. What a lovely way to say goodbye. When people leave us , their spirit lives on through nature.
And Michelle looks beautiful. Natural and unique. If that’s ugly, I am just going to go flush myself down the toilet and call it a day

How a beautiful way to say good bye to Heath! It’s wonderful! Michelle was natural, how do you want her to go to a funeral???? She had to be devastated, and if she decided not to put make up it’ll be because she felt comfortable this way, why does she have to keep up appearance???? (sorry for my English!)

I think what this means is that the sun sets on their love, but the sun will never set on Heath. Like eternal life, living on. Like his spirit will never die as the sun does.
