Poor guy. Mickey Rourke‘s getting all these accolades for his performance in The Wrestler but now, the dog-loving actor has been dealt a blow when he lost his 18-year-old Chihuahua Loki Monday night.

In the actor’s acceptance speech for his Golden Globe he nabbed this awards season, Rourke thanked his beloved pets in his acceptance speech. Mickey told the audience, “Sometimes, when a man is alone, that’s all you got is your dog. And they’ve meant the world to me.”

I hate sad Mickey Rourke news. I much prefer it when we’re writing about him wearing wacky clothes and kissing wacky people and taking full advantage of his comeback. At the very least, I hope he uses this opportunity to dress even less appropriately in even fancier places.
