Although it appears that Mischa Barton isn’t yet prepared to strip down for the nude promotional posters featuring the rest of the cast of The Beautiful Life, she has no problems baring her soul about her recent mental breakdown that landed her in the hospital.
In an interview with Time Out New York magazine, the actress claims that prior to being involuntarily checked into Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, she suffered through a botched wisdom tooth extraction and a subsequent surgery.
Explaining the situation, Barton says, “I got completely stressed-out and couldn’t handle everything, and now I feel really in control.” Barton adds, “I’m not sure I’m capable of a full-on nervous breakdown, but it was pretty bad. It didn’t last that long. It was more about the pain.”
Well, we’re all happy things seem to be going better. Although, playing a pill-popping model might not be the best path for her to take.
