Monday Morning Madge

March 11th, 2007 // 6 Comments

Nothing like a little Madonna to get your Monday going. Her advert for H&M has become YouTube gold. Currently the commercial has had over 22,000 views. This directors cut is 1 minute and 29 seconds of odd entertainment and I have no idea what most of it is about. Her campaign stint at H&M has become one of the best moves the company has made when it comes to celeb endorsements. Which struck me as odd because the brand mostly appeals to teenagers sick of Abercrombie and Fitch but not ready for Banana Republic.

But the diva has more on her plate with a possible tell-all novel being penned by a former nanny. Melissa Dumas (no I am not making up her last name) has not signed the gag order after she quit. Currently a $5 million dollar deal is in the works.

Dumas must have great big brass balls hidden in little Chanel purse. I wouldn’t take on Madonna for all the Peter Som dresses in the world. She is one fierce bitch.

Madonna's 'Give Me All Your Luvin' ' Crashes The Charts
If there's anyone who knows how to put on a full-court promotional press, it's Madonna. And on the heels of a buzzed-about Super Bowl performance that was seen by a record 112.6 million people at its peak, the singer is enjoying a major post-game sales bump.
Madonna breaks silence on M.I.A.'s middle finger: 'It's such a teenager, irrelevant thing to do'
Since we’re fast approaching the one-week anniversary of Madonna’s Super Bowl halftime show, it might be good to take some time to reflect on the events that transpired on that fateful evening — namely M.I.A.’s finger flash.

Oh my god, you’re so wrong about H&M. As I swede I can safely say that everyone from 0 to 60 shops at that store, and it has become so trendy lately. I’m a regular!

I absolutely LOVE H&M and I’m in my late 20s. It’s always a crowded store here in Chicago.
But I’m not really excited about Madonna being in their ads now. Doesn’t matter though. As long as they don’t change the styles and prices, I’m an H&M lifer.
I miss 80′s-to-early-90s-hell-raising Madonna. This faux-British- pretentious-Madonna is annoying as hell.
I cannot freakin’ WAIT for that tell-all to hit the stands, btw.

What’s with the tears from that model towards the end?

The nanny’s last name is pronounced doo-muss. (But it looks like it would be pronounced differently).
