A 14-year relationship, probably the most stable one in his life, has just ended for Tom Cruise. Paramount Pictures is severing its ties with what used to be one of the most bankable stars in the world. According to the L.A. Times:

Paramount Pictures is severing its lucrative 14-year relationship with Tom Cruise, whose recent off-screen behavior proved to be too much for Viacom Inc. Chairman Sumner Redstone, who disclosed the superstar’s termination Tuesday. “His recent conduct has not been acceptable to Paramount,” Redstone said in an interview with the Wall Street Journal. Paramount is Viacom’s moviemaking arm.

Will the Cruisey Cruisemeister ever be able to muster up the sanity for a comeback? Who knows? Maybe it’s all part of the Scientology plan. All I know is that it’s seeming less and less likely to me that he ever really had a relationship with the very private Nicole Kidman.
