Beyonce has denied there is any truth to the rumors that she timed the release of her new album to coincide with the debut album of former Destiny’s Child band member, Letoya Luckett.

Contact Music reports:

…Beyonce denies underhand tactics, telling MTV, “I have enormous respect and admiration for LeToya as an artist and as a businesswoman and I wish her incredible success. “LeToya and I have known each other since childhood and, because of all we’ve been through, I know that we both really care – and want what’s best – for each. “It makes me sad that people are trying to stir up a controversy where there is none.”

Maybe it’s standard industry practice, maybe it is in fact an attempt to squelch a jilted bandmate’s career, but I can’t help but wonder…when is LaToya Jackson going to release another album? Is it just me, or don’t you feel like she’s been awfully quiet lately? I think we need some Jackson wackiness up in this joint.
